Seringkali, untuk mendalami topik, wartawan meminta jadwal wawancara. Entah dengan Anda sendiri, bos Anda, atau klien Anda. Siapapun yang hendak diinterview, sebagai seorang PR Anda harus memperhatikan beberapa hal berikut:

• Everything is on the record
• Provide background
• Know the topic
• Anticipate touchy questions
• Always answer questions that are already a matter of public record
• Be completly honest
• Answer queustions directly
• If you don’t know the answer, say no
• Never lose your cool, no matter what happens
• Look professional
• Offer help later if needed, and give it
